The Artist
Crystal & The Cosmos is a surreal collage art studio exploring the space where nostalgia, imagination, and the unknown quietly collide.
Founded by multi-disciplinary artist Crystal Barquinha, the brand exists as a visual universe where retro-futuristic dreamscapes, celestial symbolism, vintage cinematic influences, and playful surrealism come together to create art that feels both familiar and otherworldly.
Crystal’s work is rooted in storytelling and connected to her childhood dreams. Ever since she was a young girl, she has been fascinated with exploring her inner and outer worlds through many forms of creative expression.
Each piece begins as a fragment — an old photograph, a cosmic texture, a life experience, or a feeling— carefully reassembled into dreamlike narratives that explore identity, intuition, memory, and the hidden emotional landscapes we all carry. Her creations blur the lines between past and future, earth and cosmos, reality and imagination.
The Inspiration
Inspired by vintage sci-fi imagery, disco-era glamour, Western desert nostalgia, and mystical archetypes, Crystal creates art that invites viewers to step into an alternate dimension where symbolism replaces logic and emotion is expressed through visual language.
Crystal & The Cosmos was created with the intention of transforming art into something that can be lived with, worn, collected, immersed in, and carried into everyday life. Each design is produced as wearable art, home décor, and collectible prints, allowing the work to exist beyond the gallery and become part of personal spaces and self-expression.
